E-Communities

Welcome to Arc E-Communities!

Creating connections is what Arc is all about. Arc E-Communities will provide on-line connections for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, their families, friends and others.

Before long you will be able to join or create an online community based specifically on a disabilities issue or as a place to share support. The E-Communities will not be facilitated and will be self-policing (although Arc will spot monitor participation). An occasional facilitated forum may also be part of the community.

Stay tuned! We'll let you know just as soon as you can jump right in and join or start a community!

Denise Khan moderates an online group for parents and caregivers of people on the waiver. "The advice and information you get from other parents who are in the trenches is invaluable," Denise says. "Knowing that you are not in it alone can make all the difference on a day when nothing seems to be going right."
