business are invited to this highly interactive two-day training designed to
help fine tune money-making ideas, develop business and action plans, and
consider all that goes into starting a business.

You’ll be inspired by Karen Gaffney, who swam the English
Channel, graduated from community college with honors, and is starting her own
foundation. Gaffney, who has Down syndrome, will speak at a free event at 6:30
p.m., May 14 at Oak Grove Middle School, Bloomington.

The MN Dept. of Human Services Disability Services has been
studying Intermediate Care Facilities (ICFs/MRs) and will present its
preliminary strategic plan for the future for discussion with stakeholders in
West St. Paul May 9. The final plan goes to the legislature in December.
