MINNEAPOLIS, MN – During the season of giving, Arc’s Value Village Thrift Stores and Donation Centers remind you that you can make 2007 a happy new year for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities by donating your gently used clothing and household goods to Arc.
To encourage people to bring in their donations by year-end, the Donation Receiving Centers will be especially festive on New Year’s Eve Day, December 31. Staff and volunteers who greet donors and accept donations will hand out party favors and candy. Business hours will also be extended that day from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. to accommodate last-minute donors.
No matter what day you come, donating to Arc’s Value Village is always fast and easy. Just drive up to one of the three convenient Donation Centers. Staff and volunteers will unload your donations while you stay in your car. You’ll also get a tax receipt on the spot – be sure to come in by end of day on December 31 to get a deduction for the 2006 tax year.
You can also donate vehicles – cars, trucks and recreational vehicles – to Autos for Arc. Just bring the vehicle with title and keys to any of the three Arc’s Value Village locations.

Donations to Arc’s Value Village and Autos for Arc support Arc Greater Twin Cities, which serves people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. Arc’s Value Village has raised $12 million for Arc’s programs and services since 1982, thanks to the generosity of local residents and businesses.
Arc Greater Twin Cities, a United Way community partner, is the only grassroots organization serving children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families from birth to death in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. Now in its 60th year, Arc works to secure opportunities for individuals and families to live, learn, work and play as they choose.
